MANUAL OSTEOPATHIC THERAPIST
ANNA STEEN
Manual Osteopathic Therapist
Meet Anna Steen, a dedicated and passionate manual osteopathic therapist and massage therapist.
Anna has always been on a mission to help others achieve optimal health and wellness. Before diving headfirst into a career in massage therapy, she was already making waves in the industry by managing a fitness club and teaching group fitness classes. It was there that she fell head over heels in love with understanding movement patterns and injury prevention. She quickly realized the immense importance of proper body mechanics and how it can make or break one's overall health and well-being. This experience has been a driving force in shaping her approach to her practice, and she is now a strong advocate for preventative care, understanding that it can help prevent injuries before they happen. With passion and energy, Anna is dedicated to helping others achieve their best selves.
Anna's education and training are extensive. She graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy 2200 hrs program in 2017 and later pursued further studies in manual osteopathic therapy at the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada, where she graduated in 2019 with an 1180 hrs diploma in Manual Osteopathic Therapy and obtained honours with distinction. She is an active member of the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapy Association since 2017. Her knowledge, skills, and passion for helping others are truly impressive, and she's always eager to share her expertise with her patients.
As a manual osteopathic therapist, Anna specializes in a wide range of techniques such as osteoarticular corrections, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and myofascial remodeling. These techniques help in correcting misalignments of the pelvis, spine, neck, knees, jaw, shoulder, etc. By working with the organs, she helps to restore balance in the body systems, and encourages healthy movement of cerebrospinal fluid.
But that's not all! Anna is also a master at myofascial remodeling. This technique involves working on the muscles to help them function at their best, leaving you feeling brand new! Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or just looking to improve your overall health, Anna's expertise in manual osteopathic therapy will help you feel your best.
Her ultimate goal is to help her patients do more of what they love. She loves nothing more than seeing patients leave the clinic feeling better than when they walked in. Her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to her patients, make her an amazing practitioner!
Anna Steen’s love for health and wellness, combined with her extensive education and training, make her an expert in her field and a very unique member of the Uthrive team.
